A family home designed as a place to reconnect to yourself

The Mas

Located between Arles, the Alpilles, and Avignon, tucked in among orchards and cypress trees, the Mas des Prêcheurs is a Provençal farmhouse which has been nestled closed to La Montagnette since 1649, shaded by trees over a hundred years old.

This 8,600 sq. ft. Mas is like an island lost in nature, at the heart of its 2000-acre private estate boasting a large olive grove, a Provençal garden with a pond, a pine forest and very soon a permaculture farm.

With sun and light filtering through the plane trees, on one of our terraces or by the pool, in every season, you will be serenaded by the sound of the cicadas or the singing of the birds.

Inside, you will be seduced by the atmosphere in the 1076 sq. ft. vaulted lounge, devoid of all unnecessary adornments. Its majestic fireplace invites you to enjoy a moment of calm and relaxation with a glass of wine or a cup of tea…

You can choose to have breakfast or dinner shaded by the parasols on the lawn, or in the dining room, next to the fireplace and farm table presenting the day’s homemade vegetarian recipes, prepared by Emilie, your hostess and cook, who always uses local vegetables.

At the heart of Provence, between Arles, the Alpilles and Avignon

The Location

Located 20 minutes from Avignon TGV station, our Guest House is only 3 hours door-to-door from Paris, less than an hour and a half from Lyon, and even closer if you fly into Marseille Marignane airport, less than 50 minutes drive from the Mas.

Whether you’re looking for nature or culture, your stay will no doubt be too short to discover everything the surrounding environment has to offer: located at the heart of the triangle connecting Arles (25 minutes), the Alpilles (20 minutes over the fields to St. Rémy de Provence, Les Baux-de-Provence, or Maussane les Alpilles), Avignon & Villeneuve-Les-Avignon (20 minutes), everything is close-by and easy to access. More information about our neighborhood here.

Culture, with visits to towns surrounding the Mas: Avignon and its Palais des Papes, Arles and the Rencontres de la Photographie, the Luma Foundation and its tower designed by Frank Gehry, and even festivals: (Avignon festival), not to mention an artistic and sensory experience at the Carrières de Lumières in Baux-de-Provence

Nature, with La Montagnette directly accessible from the garden, or the Chapelle St. Victor Way, which stretches along the orchards to reach a charming little chapel at the foot of La Montagnette, and even walks in the Alpilles on foot, by bike, on horseback, or by car (on the Destet road, for example). The Camargue is also within easy reach…

The charm of local villages: Boulbon and its castle and narrow streets: walk up and admire the view, not forgetting Les Baux-de-Provence, St. Remy de Provence, and Villeneuve-lès-Avignon

Fine dining, with Provençal bistros in Eygalières, not to mention the local Michelin starred restaurants : l’Oustau de Baumanière in Baux de Provence, and La Chassagnette in Arles.

“Taking time to live means having time to yourself.”

A table filled with products from the neighborhood

The Table

At the Mas des Prêcheurs, our food is mainly vegetarian, and we draw inspiration from Mediterranean flavors spanning from Provence to the Middle East.

Everything is prepared fresh daily by Camille, using local and seasonal ingredients. Your meals are presented in the kitchen from wednesday to sunday evening, on the large farm table, or kept warm in the oven.

Table service is not offered and you are free to serve yourself. Discover our recipes and savor new tastes!

Breakfast

… homemade granola, organic breads, home made jams, Provençal honey, fruit juices: the breakfast buffet is more like a brunch – an indulgent way to start your day with us !

Lunch (only during seminars and special stays)

Vegetarian dishes are colorful, generous and are an invitation to discover new flavors thanks to our Mediterranean-inspired recipes.

Aperitif

Relax with a glass of wine, a fresh fruit juice, or a homemade cocktail: we will prepare a plate of products for you to enjoy wherever you like in the garden !

Dinner

Our meals are all homemade by Camille, and provided on a self-service basis in the kitchen or in the garden between 7:30 and 8:00 pm. From seasonal vegetable risotto, to savory roasted vegetable tarts, not to mention our generous and fresh salads, we’re sure you’ll be back for more.

The Farm

We are currently in the process of setting up a permaculture farm, to provide products for our farm to our table. All of the meals we serve from wednesday evening to sunday evening are prepared each day with fresh products by Camille, our cook at the Mas.

If you are interested in permaculture, we would be delighted to share a moment with you, and explain our commitment to regenerative and meaningful agriculture.

Seminars

Spending time with your teams is increasingly essential.
Whether you are organizing a seminar or small group training sessions, we are on hand Monday to Friday to unite your team and leave a lasting impression on your employees.

We have thought of everything to allow you to make the most of these days together: work spaces, a lounge to project your presentations, and gardens to enable you to get a breath of fresh air, work alone or with others, chat, and drive creativity in new ways.
Throughout the day, we will prepare meals and energizing snacks, and we also offer you nature activities (mountain biking, hiking, yoga, strength training, etc.). There is no shortage of ideas for your stay!
